Mrs. Shultice and Mrs. Sprouse’s Healthcare & Clinical Services students had an AMAZING hands-on learning experience at Family Pet Hospital! 🐾🩺
A huge thank you to Dr. L. Unruh and Dr. J. Unruh for taking the time to speak with our students about careers in veterinary medicine and giving us an inside look at their clinic. Students were able to:
✔️ View real x-rays
✔️ Tour the surgery room
✔️ See fascinating specimens of items removed from cats and dogs
✔️ Assist with a cat neuter procedure
✔️ Watch a veterinary technician start an IV on a dog
✔️ And even love on a sweet poodle and several adorable cats! 🐶🐱
This hands-on experience gave our students a true glimpse into the daily responsibilities, skills, and compassion required in veterinary medicine. We have a couple of students who say they are interested in becoming a veterinarian!
A special thank you to Mr. P. Ray for safely driving us and making this opportunity possible.
Experiences like this help connect classroom learning to real-world healthcare careers. We are so thankful for community partners who invest in our students’ futures! 💙

Sgt. Cordaro and Sgt. Henderson also shared the many benefits of service, including education opportunities, career training, leadership development, and other amazing perks available through the Army and Army Reserve.
We are so thankful for their time, service, and willingness to invest in our students’ futures!

With sharp focus, solid teamwork, and outstanding leadership, the South Panola High
School Air Force JROTC Drone Team has pulled off a truly historic achievement — a
perfect three-event sweep, taking home their third consecutive Grand Championship at
the Big JROTC Showdown in Mesquite, Texas.
Operating like a well-oiled machine, Team A soared to victory as Grand Champions,
battling top-tier competition from Texas and Arkansas. Meanwhile, Team C secured the
Judge’s Award, recognized for their professionalism, teamwork, and creative decision-
making under pressure.
This victory marks a first in school history — never before has a South Panola AFJROTC
drone team captured three major championship titles in a single season. This wasn’t luck
— it was the result of discipline, commitment, and the never-quit mindset that defines
South Panola cadets.
“This is more than a win — it’s a message to every JROTC team out there,”
said TSgt Rodney Williams, Aerospace Science Instructor and Drone Team
Head Coach. “South Panola cadets are showing what leadership, discipline,
and heart can achieve.”
These wins show more than talent — they prove what happens when cadets train hard,
support each other, and lead with character. With the guidance of instructors TSgt
Williams, MSgt Vonetta Roseman, Ms. Lashandra Carr, and Ms. Denise Pope, South
Panola is setting a new bar for excellence.
Now, the team sets its sights on the next mission — the Marion Military Institute STEM
Challenge in Marion, Alabama, where they’ll go for an unprecedented fourth Grand
Championship in a single season.
To every cadet who flew, coded, strategized, and supported — this is your win. South
Panola isn’t just showing up — we’re showing out. And we’re just getting started.
