Mrs. Towles’ Earth and Space classes along with Ms. Edwards conducted a Properties of Minerals Lab in which students engaged in hands-on testing of nine different mineral samples. Students investigated each mineral’s hardness, luster, streak, and scratch properties, recording their observations and using the evidence they collected to compare and identify the minerals. The activity provided students with an opportunity to apply classroom concepts through direct observation, experimentation, and scientific investigation.

Yesterday, Mrs. Pegueros's Foundations of Biology students put science into action during an engaging enzyme potato lab!
Students explored how enzymes speed up chemical reactions by observing the reaction between potato enzymes and hydrogen peroxide. Through hands-on investigation, they discovered how enzymes function, why they are essential for living organisms, and how factors can affect enzyme activity.
Learning comes to life when students can investigate, observe, and make real-world connections. Great job to Mrs. Pegueros's class for their curiosity, teamwork, and scientific thinking today!
