🐾 Pet Therapy Day Success! 🐾
We had a paws-itively amazing day in Health Science! 💙
A huge thank you to our former students, D. Vinson and S. Taylor, along with their mom, Samantha Collins, for coming back to visit Mrs. Shultice’s and Mrs. Sprouse's classes and bringing their adorable Frenchies for a special Pet Therapy Day! 🐶
Our students loved learning firsthand about the benefits of animal-assisted therapy and how it can improve patient comfort, reduce stress, and support overall well-being in healthcare settings. The smiles (and tail wags!) said it all! 😊
We are so proud to see our graduates giving back and helping inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
We want to send a HUGE thank you to our amazing community for showing up and supporting our HOSA Car Wash! 🫧🚗 Your generosity means so much and directly helps our students grow, learn, and succeed in their future healthcare careers.
A very special thank you to Carl Goss with Myer Lab Warehouse for graciously allowing us to use his facility. We truly appreciate your support and partnership!
And a big shoutout to our incredible students who worked so hard to make this event happen—you showed dedication, teamwork, and true HOSA spirit. We are so proud of you!

Mrs. Sprouse & Mrs. Shultice’s Health Science students had the incredible opportunity to hear from guest speakers J. Faulkner, DON, and T. Jones, NP, from the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility today! 👩⚕️🩺
Students gained real-world insight into medical careers within a correctional setting, including the types of diseases, disorders, and health issues commonly encountered, treatments provided, types of medications administered, and the unique situations healthcare staff may face. They also learned about career pathways—where experience is recommended (but not always required), how the facility operates, where inmates are received from, and even new technology like body scanners used on staff to help prevent contraband from entering the facility.
One especially interesting detail they shared was that the pictures lining one of the facility’s hallways were actually painted by inmates. As teachers and students, we truly thought they were stickers or machine-made—the talent and detail behind these are incredible! 🎨👏
To make the day even sweeter, they also brought thoughtful goody bags for our students and Health Science teachers—along with donuts that were definitely a hit! 🍩🎁
This was an eye-opening experience that gave students a deeper understanding of healthcare beyond traditional settings.
We are so thankful to Mr. Faulkner and Mrs. Jones for taking the time to invest in our students and share their knowledge! 🙌 ♥️
