Freshman Academy, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. (choose session),
SPHS Cafeteria: This is an important Informational Session for parents & incoming
9th graders. Schedules will be distributed to those who have completed online
registration and do not owe fees from the previous school year. Fees can be paid at
SPHS with Mrs. Elmore. Chromebooks will also be given with completed registration,
zero fee balance, AND required parent signature.

Senior schedule pick-up will be Friday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for
all seniors who have completed registration and have no outstanding fees from the
previous school year. Parents will need to accompany students to sign the required
Chromebook form. There will be staff available to help with incomplete registration
(two proofs of residency are required) and collect any outstanding fees.

Sophomore and Junior schedule pick-up will be Thursday, July 24, from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. for all sophomores and juniors who have completed registration and have no outstanding fees from the previous school year. Parents will need to accompany students to sign the required Chromebook form. There will be staff available to help with incomplete registration (two proofs of residency are required) and collect any outstanding fees.

They participated in professional development sessions, networked with other educators from across the state, and explored new strategies to enhance career and technical education for our students.

🎉 Welcome Freshman Tigers! Join Us for the 2025 Freshman Academy 🎉

We are excited to welcome the Class of 2029 to South Panola High School!

To help you start the year strong, we invite all incoming 9th-grade students and their families to attend our 2025 Freshman Academy on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at either 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM.

This event is a great way to get a head start on high school success! You’ll learn about:

✅ School procedures & expectations
✅ Graduation options
✅ Clubs, sports & extracurriculars
✅ Career & technical education programs
✅ Transportation info (bus & car riders)
✅ Plus a guided tour of the school!

You’ll also meet some of our amazing teachers and staff, and get helpful tips for a smooth transition to high school.

Please note: Student registration must be complete in order to receive a class schedule.
Each session will last approximately 1.5 hours and will begin promptly. Choose the time that works best for your family—we can't wait to see you there!

South Panola CTE Names Emma Neth as 2025 Student of the Year The South Panola Career and Technical Education Department is proud to announce that Emma Neth has been selected as the 2025 CTE Student of the Year. Emma is currently a junior at South Panola High School and has distinguished herself as an outstanding student and leader in both the Horticulture program and Work-Based Learning. A program completer in Horticulture, Emma is also an active and dedicated member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Among her many accomplishments this year, she earned 1st place in the FFA Horse Evaluation team competition and was named the second highest individual in the State FFA Livestock Judging competition. Emma was recently honored as the South Panola FFA Member of the Year, a testament to her commitment, leadership, and excellence in agricultural education. Further demonstrating her passion for agriculture, Emma was selected to serve on the Mississippi Agriculture Youth Council, a prestigious opportunity that recognizes young leaders across the state. To honor her achievements, Mr. Robert Barnard, Work-Based Learning instructor, presented Emma with the CTE Student of the Year plaque, while Dr. Leigh Taylor Unruh of Family Pet Hospital awarded her a $100 check in recognition of her exceptional performance and dedication throughout the year. Emma is the daughter of Eric and Bridgett Neth. Her agriculture teachers and FFA advisors are Mr. Josh Davenport and Mr. Reginald Carter. Emma exemplifies the values and excellence of South Panola’s Career and Technical Education programs, and we are proud to celebrate her many accomplishments. Congratulations to Emma Neth on this well-deserved recognition.

South Panola CTE Names April Student of the Month: Jadon Dishmon The South Panola Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is proud to announce Jadon Dishmon as April’s Career and Technical Student of the Month. Jadon is an exceptional student enrolled in both the Work-Based Learning program and the second-year Advanced Manufacturing course. His dedication to hands-on learning and career preparation has made him a standout among his peers. Jadon received the Student of the Month plaque from Mr. Robert Barnard and Mrs. Leah Ann Wrenn, Work-Based Learning instructors. In addition, he was presented with a personalized tumbler provided by Thermos, Inc. and a $50 check generously donated by Mrs. Tracy Goforth of First Security Bank. Reflecting on his experience, Jadon shared, “Being part of Work-Based Learning and Advanced Manufacturing has allowed me to meet new people and engage in new pathways of life that I want to take in the future.” The South Panola CTE Department commends Jadon for his outstanding performance and commitment to excellence. His achievements reflect the values and goals of CTE programs—preparing students for success in both college and career.
