South Panola CTE Department Names Emma Neth March Student of the Month The South Panola Career and Technical Education Department is proud to recognize Emma Neth as the March CTE Student of the Month. Emma is a dedicated year-two student in the Horticulture program and is also enrolled in Work-Based Learning. In addition to her coursework, she is an active member of Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she continues to build leadership and career skills. In recognition of her achievements, Josh Hawkins, representative of District 10 in the Mississippi House of Representatives and of Boren and Hawkins Insurance, presented Emma with a $50 check. Mr. Josh Davenport, Horticulture instructor, presented her with a plaque to commemorate this accomplishment. Adding a thoughtful, personalized touch to this recognition, Mr. Robert Barnard, Work-Based Learning instructor, presented Emma with a personalized tumbler provided by Jamie O’Connor of Thermos LLC. Reflecting on her CTE experience, Emma shared, “I have learned traits like communication skills, work ethic, how to be a leader, and so much more.” Congratulations to Emma on this well-deserved honor!

South Panola Career and Technical Student Wins 1st Place at 2025 Mississippi SkillsUSA Competition Batesville, MS – South Panola Career and Technical Education (CTE) is proud to recognize and congratulate Isaiah Williams for his outstanding achievement at the 2025 Mississippi SkillsUSA Competition in Jackson, MS. Isaiah, an 11th-grade student and a year-two welding student, secured 1st place in the Structural Welding competition. Isaiah’s victory showcases his dedication, skill, and hard work in the field of welding, as well as the high-quality instruction and hands-on training provided by South Panola’s CTE program. His success is a testament to his commitment to excellence and the strength of Career and Technical Education in preparing students for future careers. South Panola High School Students Explore Advanced Manufacturing at Toyota Mississippi Experience Center Today students from Mr. Jessey Higdon’s Advanced Manufacturing and Mr. Reginald Carter’s Agriculture classes at South Panola High School had the exciting opportunity to visit the Toyota Mississippi Experience Center in Blue Springs, MS. This educational tour was designed to give students an inside look at cutting-edge manufacturing processes and automotive technology. Throughout the visit, students learned about the various stages of vehicle assembly, witnessed firsthand how robotics and automation are integrated into the production line, and explored the principles of lean manufacturing and quality control. This experience gave them valuable insight into the future of automotive production and the advanced skills required in the manufacturing industry. Also, along the tour were our High School Career Coaches Mrs. Karin Hardin and Mr. Tony Chapman.
