On April 4th, South Panola FFA members attended the Open House at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Students had the opportunity to observe a variety of animal demonstrations and explore the pathology lab, gaining valuable insight into veterinary science and animal care.

Now Enrolling for Tiger Care 2025-2026! We are excited to announce that Tiger Care is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Tiger Care is an on-campus lab preschool at South Panola High School, designed for 3- and 4-year-old children. This program introduces young learners to a structured preschool environment while providing our high school Early Childhood Education students with valuable hands-on experience. 🥣✨ South Panola High School Health Science Year Two students powered up their day with a fun and informative lesson—“Power Up Your Day: Eat Breakfast!” 💪🍓 Thanks to Mrs. Pat Neal from the MS State Extension Service and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), students learned the importance of a healthy breakfast and got hands-on by making delicious parfaits with yogurt and toppings like strawberries, blueberries, honey, and granola! 🍯🫐🍓 They also explored other nutritious breakfast options like protein shakes, eggs, oatmeal, and more. 📢 Guest Speaker Alert! 🌟 Our Health Science students had an incredible opportunity to hear from a Registered Nurse from an endoscopy clinic specializing in upper and lower GI procedures! 🏥💉 They learned about patient care during and after GI procedures, the importance of digestive health, and what it takes to be an RN in this field. South Panola Career and Technical Student Wins 1st Place at 2025 Mississippi SkillsUSA Competition Batesville, MS – South Panola Career and Technical Education (CTE) is proud to recognize and congratulate Isaiah Williams for his outstanding achievement at the 2025 Mississippi SkillsUSA Competition in Jackson, MS. Isaiah, an 11th-grade student and a year-two welding student, secured 1st place in the Structural Welding competition. Isaiah’s victory showcases his dedication, skill, and hard work in the field of welding, as well as the high-quality instruction and hands-on training provided by South Panola’s CTE program. His success is a testament to his commitment to excellence and the strength of Career and Technical Education in preparing students for future careers. "We are incredibly proud of Isaiah and his accomplishment at the state level," said Patrick Parham, Welding Instructor. "His success highlights the talent and determination of our students and the exceptional opportunities available through our CTE program."

South Panola High School Students Explore Advanced Manufacturing at Toyota Mississippi Experience Center Today students from Mr. Jessey Higdon’s Advanced Manufacturing and Mr. Reginald Carter’s Agriculture classes at South Panola High School had the exciting opportunity to visit the Toyota Mississippi Experience Center in Blue Springs, MS. This educational tour was designed to give students an inside look at cutting-edge manufacturing processes and automotive technology. Throughout the visit, students learned about the various stages of vehicle assembly, witnessed firsthand how robotics and automation are integrated into the production line, and explored the principles of lean manufacturing and quality control. This experience gave them valuable insight into the future of automotive production and the advanced skills required in the manufacturing industry. Also, along the tour were our High School Career Coaches Mrs. Karin Hardin and Mr. Tony Chapman.

🩺🍔 South Panola Health Science Year 2 students dug into the facts about saturated fats! 🥄💡 In today’s lesson, students measured out tablespoons of shortening to match the fat content of various foods, then lined up from least to most fat—eye-opening and hands-on learning at its best! A huge thank you to Mrs. Pat Neal from the MS State Extension Service for sharing her expertise and making nutrition education engaging and fun! 👏💙

🚨 HOSA Club Update! 🚨 We are so proud of our members who passed the district round of testing and had the opportunity to compete at the State Competition in Jackson, MS last week! 👏 Congratulations to Layla Jaco, Kirstyn Shegog, and Vaneassa Leal for representing our club so well. Special shoutout to Vaneassa Leal for earning an amazing 2nd place in Pharmacology in the State! 🏅🎉 The students had a fantastic time networking with other HOSA members and exploring cutting-edge medical technology, including an Anatomage table, which uses 3D imaging of a cadaver for educational purposes! 🧠💡 A huge thank you to everyone who supports our HOSA program — we couldn't do it without you! 🙌

South Panola High School Choirs are Superior!! Cantabile received ALL Superior scores and a Sweepstakes award. Bellissima received ALL Superior scores and a Sweepstakes award. Coro Machile received a Superior score in Sight Reading and Superior/Excellent/Excellent scores in Performance. Armonia received an Excellent score in Sight Reading and all Superior scores in Performance. Bella Voce received all Superior scores in performance and was the highest scoring Ensemble of the day!
