Due to a conflict, South Panola School District Cheerleading tryouts have been moved to Monday, February 24, Tuesday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 26. If you make the cheerleading team, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, February 27.

🚗 Automotive Service Students Tour Cannon Motors of Oxford! 🚗 Our talented Automotive Service students had an incredible opportunity to visit Cannon Motors of Oxford! During the tour, they explored cutting-edge automotive technology, learned from industry professionals, and discovered the exciting world of car service and repair. We are also excited to share that some students will have the chance to join their internship program, gaining valuable hands-on experience to kickstart their careers in the automotive industry! 🔧🔩

South Panola AFJROTC defeats Seaford NJROTC Shooting their highest score of the season South Panola AFJROTC defeated Seaford NJROTC 976.9 to 785.5 in the 2025 National Air Rifle New Shooter League. Their second win in a row. South Panola AFJROTC was led by Harmony Leavy who shot a 260.6. The remaining contributing members were Tavis Smith, William Ford, and Charles Beard. They are from Batesville, MS, and are coached by Mr. Jordan Bailey and Lt.Col. Leonard Boothe. Overall South Panola AFJROTC is ranked twenty-fourth. They have a 2 - 0 record.

Pat Neal from the Mississippi State Extension Service shared some eye-opening tips during our Health Science Clinical class about the importance of reading food labels and understanding sugar content in our diets. Too much sugar can sneak into our meals without us even realizing it! Pat emphasized how crucial it is to be aware of the sugar we consume and how reading nutrition labels is the key to making healthier choices.

South Panola Career and Technical Education Department Names January Student of the Month The South Panola Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is proud to recognize Keeley Rappe' as the January CTE Student of the Month. Keeley is a dedicated second-year student in Mr. Josh Davenport’s Horticulture program, where she continues to excel through hard work, leadership, and a passion for her future career. In recognition of her achievement, Keeley was presented with a distinguished plaque by Mr. Josh Davenport. She also received a $50 check from Mr. Jason Morris of Morris Lawn Services and a personalized tumbler from Mrs. Jamie O’Connor, representing Thermos, LLC of Batesville, Mississippi. Reflecting on her CTE experience, Keeley shared, “Career and Technical Education has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and employability skills, preparing me for both college and future career opportunities.” Congratulations to Keeley Rappe' on this well-deserved honor! The South Panola CTE Department extends its appreciation to our community partners for their continued support in recognizing and encouraging student success.

Our Year 1 Health Science students got creative in the classroom as they used everyday items to represent the components of blood in preparation for their Cardio-System test! Oil = Plasma Red Hots = Erythrocytes (Red Blood Cells) Beans = Leukocytes (White Blood Cells) Rice = Thrombocytes (Platelets) This interactive project helped them visualize how each component plays a crucial role in our bodies. Can't wait to see how their knowledge of the cardiovascular system has grown!

Mrs. Christy Burnett's Early Childhood classes recently had the opportunity to visit Dewberry Daycare to gain a better understanding of the day-to-day operations of a daycare.
