With 25 years of dedicated service, all spent teaching second grade in the same beloved classroom, Mrs. Whitney McCurdy is the heart of her students' learning experience. Her passion for education is evident in the strong relationships she builds, making every child feel valued and part of a true classroom community. Known for her creative teaching style, Mrs. McCurdy weaves music lyrics into lessons, helping students remember academic concepts in a fun and meaningful way. Her classroom is a model of organization and seamless instruction, ensuring that every moment of the day is purposeful. A devoted educator, she seldom misses a day and maximizes every instructional minute. Beyond the classroom, she shares a wonderful life with her husband of 26 years, Whit, and their two daughters, Adison and Becca. We are honored to celebrate Mrs. McCurdy’s unwavering dedication and well-deserved recognition as Teacher of the Year!
