
Ms. Buchanan’s reading class has been working hard for 2 weeks on our Black History Month projects. First, we completed a 36 piece black history month collage, then we researched a historic black figure and made a research creek box !










After learning the history behind giving Conversation Hearts as a Valentine's Day treat and taste testing them, students in Mrs. Moore's 2nd and 3rd grade library classes wrote an opinion paragraph as to whether or not Conversation Hearts were the ULTIMATE Valentine's Day treat.

Tomorrow's dress up day will be "Bow Ties and Pearls!"

Through unplugged activities and a variety of puzzles from CODE.org, students in Michelle Mundroff's 2nd and 3rd Grade Computer Science classes are learning the basics of programming, collaboration techniques, investigation and critical thinking skills. They are learning that persistence pays off when it comes to solving problems.







Second graders in Mrs. Burkes's class ended this week of studying character traits by listening to a read aloud of I'm Gonna Like Me from their Mystery Reader, Callee Grace Burkes. Afterwards, they had a fun time building character trait mobiles that match their individual personalities.





Ms. Melton, Mrs. Hankins, and Mrs. Freeman's classes had a pawsome time celebrating their students' hard work on the iReady diagnostic tests by having a popcorn and board game celebration!





These students were chosen to pick a prize for attendance or good behavior. Each week students are able to earn Good Week Tickets when they are exhibiting good behavior. There are 5 tickets drawn each Friday. Also, students are entered into a drawing if they are here on time, don't check out early, or have perfect attendance for the week. Five students also receive a prize.
