Owen is being honored with a plaque recognizing his achievement, presented by his horticulture instructor, Josh Davenport. Mr. Kelly Morris of Morris Lawn Service is also recognizing Owen’s accomplishment with a $50 check. Additionally, Jamie O'Connor of Thermos LLC generously provided each Student of the Month with a personalized tumbler featuring their name, adding a special touch to this honor. To complete the celebration, Owen is receiving a specially designed T-shirt provided and created by T&R Graphics.
The South Panola Career and Technical Center proudly congratulates Owen on this accomplishment. Mr. Josh Davenport, Owen's horticulture instructor, shared:
“I am nominating Owen Morris for CTE Student of the Month because of his long-standing dedication to agriculture. Starting in Junior FFA in 5th grade, Owen has built an impressive record of accomplishments, serving as Vice President of the Panola County 4-H Junior Board, a two-year South Panola FFA officer, and a key competitor on our state-winning Horse Evaluation Team. His Supervised Agricultural Experience includes hay, crop, and beef production, and he also works with Morris Lawn Service. In July, he was named the top second-year FFA member in the state.”
