High School. For the past ten years, Mrs. Griffin has served as the lead teacher, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and professional mentorship. Her leadership, innovation, and passion for education have made a lasting impact on our school community.
Under Mrs. Griffin’s guidance, student achievement in English II has significantly improved, with overall growth increasing from 61.1% to 68.7%. Even more impressively, Bottom 25% Growth has risen from 40.8% to 70.8%, a testament to her ability to reach and inspire students at all levels. Additionally, in her decade at South Panola, the number of English II retesters has decreased from 119 to just 8, reflecting her dedication to ensuring student mastery and success.
Mrs. Griffin has taken on multiple leadership roles that benefit both students and faculty. She formed and leads our new teacher mentoring group, providing invaluable support to incoming educators. She is also at the forefront of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth among teachers. Furthermore, she heads our Robing Ceremony, a meaningful tradition that celebrates student achievement and strengthens our school’s sense of pride and community.
