Mrs Willis’ 7th graders had a sweet time learning about the rock cycle this week. They used Starburst candies to model how rocks are formed, and how they are transformed from melting and cooling, layering and applying pressure. Students brought the process of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks to life in a hands-on way that ended with just a slight sugar rush!
