These images were sent in from Pope first-grade STEM Friday (Jan. 31). The students were divided into groups and tasked with building a football goal post from eight straws, five pipe cleaners, a strip of tape, and scissors. The groups had five minutes to plan and 25 minutes to construct their goal post. In the end, each group’s goal post stood on its own, and the students made paper footballs to play around with their goal posts.
