Higdon named CTE Director


Trea Higdon was named South Panola High School’s Career and Techincal Education Director on Wednesday (Jan. 30).


Higdon will begin his role as CTE Director on July 1, 2019. The South Panola High School CTE Department offers 12 skilled-programs ranging from automotive service to culinary arts to agriculture science, as well as classes in cyber foundations, STEM and consumer health.

Higdon, a native of Water Valley, has spent the last two years as Athletics Director of SPSD and Assistant Principal at SPHS. He previously served as a PE teacher and head coach for nine years at Batesville Junior High School.

Prior to BJHS, Higdon spent 12 years at Water Valley High School as an educator.

A 1991 graduate of Water Valley High School, Higdon earned his Bachelor’s in Education and Master’s of Education from Delta State University following Northwest Mississippi Community College. He received his certification in administration in 2006.
