         The mission of Batesville Junior High School is to be a cohesive team of faculty and staff, incorporating parent and community input in order to provide all students with essential knowledge for a lifetime of learning enabling them to lead productive lives.

     

         The administrators, faculty and staff of BJHS, which serves grades sixth through eighth, believe that all students, regardless of previous academic performance, family background, socioeconomic status, race, or gender can learn and that it is the responsibility of each member of the school community to do his or her part to assure that students achieve mastery of basic grade level curriculum skills.

     

         We also believe:

    • A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.
    • Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
    • Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
